3 Layers of an Elite Athlete

People are confused. They think that power just can be added to a weak body. So I've gotta make something clear...

…If your power levels aren't going up.

…If you're not jumping higher, running faster, becoming more explosive, chances are

You missed one of the layers of athletic development.

You'll have to go back and build it up before you get the power you're looking for. With that, let's dive into the 3 layers of an Elite Athlete:

 1. Relative Strength

This is probably an athlete's most hated layer to train. Mostly because it's not sexy. It consists of a lot of calisthenics, core stability exercises, and other basic movements.

This layer has to do with increasing the amount of force you produce relative to your bodyweight.

Which means that it's key in displaying your athleticism. Your speed, explosiveness, bounce, even your change of direction ability. When you increase this, you not only increase your ability to be more explosive, but also increase your body control and decrease your chance of injury.

2. Absolute Strength

Absolute strength is your ability to produce as much force as possible.

And it, just like relative strength, has a huge effect on your ability to produce more power. Plus, when you increase your absolute strength, you also increase muscular endurance and power endurance.

3. Power

Finally the sexy one. Where all the "fun" training is at.

Power is producing maximal force in as little time as possible.

Things like plyometrics, sprinting, and concentric focused lifting increase power. But also the correct tempos and reps to sets can help to boost your ability to explode. BUT...

Before you can have the fun... You've gotta build the base.

If you jump the gun, and skip a layer, you risk injury, AND you're probably wasting your time. Because without the stability that comes with relative strength you won't be able to handle high forces transferring through your body, which means you'll have less bounce and less speed.

…If you can't control your body, you'll falter when changing directions...

…If you don't have kinesthetic awareness, you'll be uncoordinated, sloppy, and gangly.

In other words, you've gotta build your relative strength. And if you think your relative strength is the missing link in your athleticism, now's the perfect time to change it.

That’s why we created a trial month for our athletes at a DISCOUNTED price…

To give athletes FOUR POWERFUL pillars to build on in their programs during that first month for getting athletic gains relative to their bodyweight and a chance to see how we can IMPACT their performance on field IMMEDIATELY.

While most athletes are doing push-ups and pull-ups,

You'll be performing athletic complexes,

Isometric holds to activate more fast twitch muscle fibers,

Advanced plyometrics,

And a bunch more.
